‘It’s always going to be him’: LaVar Ball shockingly picks Michael Jordan over LeBron James in GOAT debate
LaVar Ball gives his two cents on the GOAT debate on ‘Club Shay Shay’
Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Hornets drafted LaMelo Ball this year. Not only is the city of Charlotte getting a 19-year old guard who has proven himself in a foreign league, but they are also getting his dad with him. LaMelo’s father LaVar Ball needs no introduction for himself. It hasn’t even been a few weeks since LaMelo got drafted and his father has been making the headlines already.

Recently the patriarch of the Ball family was on Shannon Sharpe’s show ‘Club Shay Shay’. There he was asked about his opinion on the GOAT debate. His response, well, was as unpredictable as the other stuff he says.
“You can’t be the GOAT if you have losses on your record”: LaVar Ball
While there was a time where LaVar Ball claimed he could beat Michael Jordan 1 on 1, things have changed now. Ever since LaMelo got drafted by MJ’s team Hornets, LaVar has had a very pro-Jordan stance on things. This applied when he was answering the question about the GOAT as well.
“The greatest of all-time, how do you measure that? You measure that by your victories and what you did in those victories. I ain’t taking about you got 12 rings and you’ve been on five different teams. I’m talking about a dude who went to the Finals who was the main guy six times in a row,” LaVar said of the NBA GOAT debate.

The way LaVar did not miss a chance to say that his boys will surpass MJ is classic LaVar Ball. It would be interesting to see how the Ball boys perform in the NBA in the upcoming season.
