Sami Zayn breaks character to heap praise on his fellow WWE Superstar. The critic of the critics went so far as to label him the best of this generation.

Sami Zayn very rarely breaks character in or outside the WWE. The only time he does so is when he needs or wants to plug the numerous causes and charities he supports. However, the WWE Intercontinental Champion recently broke character to praise his colleague in the WWE.

Sami Zayn didn’t merely praise his colleague. He said it was an honor to face this person in the ring and declared him the best in ring talent of the current generation. The Intercontinental champion quickly slipped back in character although at the very end.

Sami Zayn breaks character to heap praise on WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan

Sami Zayn had a match with Daniel Bryan on last night’s episode of SmackDown. The Intercontinental champion came out on top courtesy of a little help from Jey Uso. Zayn lavished Bryan with praises after the match but was quick to point out that he was still the victor.

“As much as I run my mouth, it is always an absolute privilege to be able to get in the ring with Daniel Bryan,” he wrote on his social media. “You never know if or when it might happen again. He is, in my opinion, the best in ring performer of our generation. Still it should be noted, I won the match.”

It appears that the WWE is setting up Daniel Bryan for a match against Roman Reigns in the future, possibly Royal Rumble. In the meantime, the Tribal Chief looks set to take on Kevin Owens.
