‘Lets do it lol opening night, f*** it’: Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard make pact to shoot from the logo at 2020-21 season start
Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard are going to have a shootout from deep on opening night after the former threw a challenge at the Oakland native.
Two of the most prolific shooters from range in the NBA, many consider these two superstars to be the best distance shooters in the league. The numbers back it up – Dame made over 41.2% of his 3-point attempts from 30-34 feet last season.
Steph may not have the same volume of late, but he is the only player considered even deadlier than Lillard from range. It was the 2-time MVP who piloted this trend of deep 3-pointers – a trend that the likes of Dame, LeBron James and Trae Young are now perfecting.
Both are primed to be involved in heavy carry jobs once again for their respective teams. The Western Conference is as stacked as it ever was, with the Lakers threatening to become the next dynasty of the league.
Damian Lillard accepts Stephen Curry’s challenge to shoot 3-pointers from the logo on opening night
The Oakland native posted a video hoisting logo shots. Steph commented:
“That’s wild bro…18 on the shot clock you pulling? I’ll do it if you do it!”
“Let’s do it lol opening night f*** it.”
the funniest part is that i’m pretty sure Steph will actually do it 😭 pic.twitter.com/ERX6pfCv9k

The prospect presents an exciting, refreshing twist to the NBA restart. The league will be a few levels more interesting if Steph stays healthy and powers a Golden State resurgence from their doldrums in 2019-20.
The prospect of watching Steph going ballistic from downtown is something NBA fans missed last season after being treated to over 7 seasons of exceptional play. Curry is considered, almost unanimously, as the greatest shooter of all time in NBA history.
Dame, on the other hand, will be looking forward to make the playoffs for the 8th straight season of his career. He has fresh new motivation in the form of ESPN’s prediction of the Blazers finishing outside the top 8.
