LeBron James took to Twitter to congratulate Kyle Kuzma for signing his extension with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been acquiring and retaining assets this offseason more than any other team in the league. Stars such as Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell have made their way to the Lakers.

Simultaneously, LeBron James and Anthony Davis have signed an extension and a 5 year/$190 million contract, respectively. Kyle Kuzma looks to follow suit.

Kuzma is the last remaining piece on the Lakers from the 2017-18 season. He was the only young star who wasn’t dealt off to the Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis.

In his time with the Lakers, Kuzma has proven that he has the potential to be the ideal stretch 4 any team in the league would love to have on their team.

LeBron James reacts to Kyle Kuzma’s 3 year extension with the Lakers

LeBron James has been a firm believer in Kyle Kuzma’s abilities from the get-go. He even chose Kuzma to be the prime candidate for Most Improved Player of the year.

So when Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news about Kyle staying with the Lakers on a 3 year/$40 million extension, James knew he had to share his excitement on Twitter.

In his tweet congratulating the 25 year old, LeBron said, “KUZZZ! Congrats bro! Next dinner on you for sure!”

There is some hilarity to this tweet as fans online have been pointing out that LeBron James is only excited become Kuzma now has a tradable contract.

How did Kyle Kuzma perform last season?

Kyle Kuzma didn’t hit the hardwood nearly as much last season, as he did the season prior. This is of course due to Anthony Davis’s arrival. His ppg also dipped from around the 16-17 range to 12.8.

Now, with big men Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell making their way to the Lakers, it will be interesting to see how Coach Vogel manages Kuzma’s minutes.
