“Even scoring points isn’t so exciting”- Kevin Magnussen warns Mick Schumacher of F1 struggles with Haas
“Even scoring points isn’t so exciting”- Kevin Magnussen warns his successor Mick Schumacher of apparent struggles for survival with Haas.
Mick Schumacher’s debut in Formula 1 is a major talking point ahead of the start of 2021 season, but his predecessor Kevin Magnussen citing his experience tells it may end up dull.
Talking about his recent exit from the sport and his plans, Magnussen revealed what he felt in the past few years, which could serve Schumacher as a statutory warning.
“I’m truly looking forward to it, I can’t wait,” Magnussen told Autosport, as per the Express. “It makes it all easier. I don’t feel sad about Abu Dhabi being my last Formula 1 race.
“I’m going to miss driving the cars, and especially I’m going to miss the guys on the team. But I can’t help feel excited, looking forward to what’s next for me, rather than sad about not being in F1.”
“Everyone wants to get to Formula 1, including myself. That’s what I’ve always dreamt of. But after a while, if you can’t win races, even scoring points isn’t so exciting.
Mick Schumacher is tipped for bigger things.
It cannot be denied that Schumacher is born with a silver spoon; hence, he is served with innumerable opportunities, and every accolade of him will increase his hyper more than usual.
On the other hand, Ferrari is viewing a long term plan with the German race driver and competing for Haas to be a temporary phase, provided he performs as expected.
So, it is probable that he may not stay at Haas for long, and if talking about Schumacher’s recent exploits, he may make the most out of the car at his behest.
However, the pressure of his father’s legacy will definitely affect and help him further if things go right initially.
