“Just bust everybody’s a**”: Brandon Ingram reveals how he needs to change his mentality to dominate on court
Brandon Ingram said he needs ‘to kill everybody in front of him’ in order to improve his impact as a winning player.
The Pelicans have been a subpar team at the start of their campaign at a mediocre 4-5 record. They are one spot out of the play-in tournament currently as they possess the 11th seed out West.
After acquiring Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart from the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, the Pelicans bought into the youth movement. With a solid young core consisting of those 3 alongside Zion Williamson, they have a bright future together in New Orleans.
Swingman Brandon Ingram has been having a career year in terms of averages as he is putting up 24 points, 7.1 rebounds, and nearly 6 assists per game.
Brandon Ingram’s response to how he can improve on the court
Ingram has been trending on an upward trajectory ever since he entered the league. After all the hype surrounding his offensive game and comparing it to Kevin Durant’s, BI is living up to it all.
During post-game availability, Brandon Ingram was asked what he could do to improve his game on the court. In response to this, Ingram said:
“Just bust everybody’s a**. Kill everybody in front of me. Make sure that I don’t let anybody off the hook.”

Though the Pelicans is struggling to rope in a string of wins, BI has been on a tear this season. He’s got his characteristic mid-range game going. He’s getting more accurate from his preferred spots near the free throw line and the elbow region.
Ingram is also starting to up his efficiency while attempting more 3s than ever before in his career. His assist numbers look promising as well, as he is averaging a career high 5.8 assists in the first 9 games of the season.
