“Praying for Patrick Beverley and his family”: Marcus Morris explains why All-Defensive team member missed Clippers’ blowout of Kings
Marcus Morris signaled that Clippers teammate Patrick Beverley is dealing with a family crisis during his post-game interview.
Patrick Beverly sat out during the Clippers’ recent matchup against the Clippers due to personal reasons. His absence from the team was something that no one saw coming. What was more concerning was that Marcus Morris sent out prayers to Pat and his family during his post-game interview.

Last season Pat missed four games with the Clippers after a close friend of his was shot and killed in Chicago. There is still no information as to what prompted his absence this time, however, we hope that it is nothing serious.
How will the Clippers adjust without Patrick Beverley?
Patrick Beverley is one of the most reliable players on the Clippers lineup and is well known for his elite defense. Over the last two seasons, the Clippers have been one of the most menacing defenses in the league.
Pat Bev and his ability to shut down opposing ball handlers was a major factor for the team’s success. This season has been no different for the fiesty guard who averages nearly a steal and a block per game.
This year has been a different story for the Clippers’ defense. They have slumped to the 19th best defense in the league and allow 110 points per game. Beverley’s absence will adversely affect the Clippers’ defensive scheme. To make matters worse the Clippers are also missing reliable sixth man, Lou Williams due to a hip injury.
The Clippers have had an up and down season thus far and it is clear that they have a long way to go before they are championship ready. Hopefully, Patrick Beverley will be back soon and the Clippers can get it together before it’s too late.
