“Sergio was like a young dog with a bone” – Sergio Perez gets his seat fitting done and dusted with Red Bull
“Sergio was like a young dog with a bone” – Recruit Sergio Perez visited the Red Bull F1 factory and got his seat fitting done for the 2021 season.
Sergio Perez deservingly retained his seat in Formula 1 after Red Bull decided to ditch Alex Albon in his favor. The former Force India/Racing Point driver was impressive last season, also winning his first-ever grand prix.
After moving to the Milton Keynes-based outfit, the Mexican made his first formal visit to the factory earlier today. The Red Bull driver account first teased us with a blurred video where Christian Horner and Perez are interacting. This is what the boss had to say about the driver, the pair having worked together in GP2 in the past.
“In his first year in GP2, he was always stronger in races than in qualifying. He had the determination to never give up. Sergio was like a young dog with a bone. I think that has become his trademark in terms of racing.”
