“LeBron James made me question my own lyrics”: 6LACK’s tongue in cheek reaction to Lakers star messing up ‘Stay Down’ lyrics

LeBron James recently posted yet another video of himself butchering song lyrics. It was so bad this time that 6LACK himself had jokes about it.

James posted a video of himself singing along to this song by Lil Durk called ‘Stay Down’ a couple of days ago. It went viral on Twitter given how bad LeBron’s rendition of the lyrics were. The song features rappers 6LACK and Young Thug and peaked at #73 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The part that LeBron James messed up was the very first lyric from 6LACK’s verse. It goes “Hoppin’ out the car, no photos, baby”, but some how James contrived to say “yabadabadodobo old navy” with his shades on.

6LACK reacts to LeBron James butchering his lyrics

This video of James went viral on Twitter, so much so that it reached 6LACK’s own feed. He took the video in great humor, albeit with some questionable grammar: “The ‘sureness’ made me question my own lyrics”

This tweet by 6LACK has more likes than any of his tweets in the past couple of months. This video of James going Shaqtin-a-Fool on rap lyrics might just spur enough renewed interest in the song for it to rise up on the Billboard charts once again.

James is among the corniest people in basketball today. The man tweets and posts sometimes like he’s a 13-year-old newly gifted a phone. But his disposition to put himself out there off the camera is endearing to fans who follow him off the court.
