UFC Streams : “I will not be nice”- UFC president Dana White reveals UFC 257 is the perfect bait to catch illegal streamers
UFC president Dana White lays out plans to eradicate piracy issues. The looming Pay-per-View event UFC 257 is a prime target of freebooters worldwide.
This week UFC President Dana White has a huge responsibility on his shoulders to look after the proper commencement and culmination of UFC 257. In the run-up to the show, the UFC boss has already taken a huge decision of cutting a fighter out a day before his scheduled fight and is also tackling the ever-present challenge of piracy.
While the infringement risk is at large White is also staunch with his stern attitude towards the piracy agents.
In an interview with Adam Catterall of BT Sport, the UFC boss gave a mindful of how he is planning to approach the privacy issue.
“So, we’ve been working on piracy since day one. It was one of the things that we focused on. You know, it’s an important thing to stop in this business. We’ve spent tons of money on all this stuff. We’ve just got some real important legislation done with piracy this year,” White said. “These people are criminals, and the internet makes it look like these guys are good guys – these guys are bad guys.”

At the official press conference of UFC 257, the UFC chief was asked about his plans to take on the illegal service providers, who will have the marquee event on their priority list. White addressed the query in this interview as well and vehemently replied that they know the whereabouts of one such delinquent and are keeping a close watch on his activities.
“When I came out and said this, all these guys started taunting me. So, I went through. And I picked [one]. I said, ‘you, you’re the guy.’ And I told my people, ‘I want this guy.’ And guess what? We got him. We’re watching his house. We’re listening to his phone conversations,” White revealed. “And when he puts up this, if he puts it up on Saturday, we got him. And we will arrest him, and I will prosecute him. I will not be nice. I will not give him any leniency whatsoever.” said Dana White.
Dana White and UFC are planning to set an example with the person they claim they got hold of, and are apparently looking to get rid of this problem for good.
