“I take full responsibility”: Russell Westbrook breaks his silence on ejection after altercation with Rajon Rondo in Wizards’ loss to Hawks
Russell Westbrook admits his fault after his ejection from the game against the Hawks. This was a result of his encounters with Rajon Rondo.
Russell Westbrook is known for having a short temper while playing on the court. He gives his all, every match. Sometimes that leads to him getting into some altercations with opposition players. On Friday night, Westbrook was ejected out of the game after receiving two technical fouls.
The Wizards are now on yet another 4-game slide. They may have to trade Bradley Beal, who’s leading the NBA in scoring thus far.
Westbrook and Rondo went at each other whenever they got the chance last night. Early in the 4th quarter, Russ seemed to have shoved Rondo as he saw the ball go in the basket. This caused the referees to hand Westbrook his second technical foul and eject him from the game.
‘I don’t agree with the 2nd technical ‘: Russell Westbrook disagrees with his ejection
Russell Westbrook opened up about his emotions and admitted his mistake for which he received the technical foul. He also added:
“Ah, sh**. Honestly, it’s more on me. I cannot allow myself to stoop down to anybody’s level. That’s not my character, who I am…I take full responsibility for all of that. I don’t agree with the 2nd T, but that’s neither here nor there.”
