“Stephen Curry, when will you break Ray Allen’s record?”: Reporter Klay Thompson puts Warriors teammate on the spot with hysterical post-game interview
Injured Warriors star guard Klay Thompson assumes a different role, as he interviews Stephen Curry post-game as a sideline reporter.
The Golden State Warriors beat the Detroit Pistons 118-91 tonight. Although the Warriors miss having Klay Thompson and his sharpshooting, they have been doing alright for themselves. They boast an 11-9 record and sit on the 8th spot in the West.
Klay Thompson has been attending the Warriors’ home games with the squad, but today he assumed a role we saw him in last season. Reporter Klay is back. Through the duration of the game, Klay was initially seen talking to the broadcasters. Then he took over and handled the job for the final two minutes of the 3rd quarter, where he also called out his bud Steph for flopping.
Stephen Curry delivered a game-high 28 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. After the game, Curry was interviewed by Klay Thompson, whom we are used to seeing besides Curry in those interviews.

For his first question, Klay asked Steph how it felt getting hit on the face from a Draymond Green pass. Klay said he has some firsthand experience of the same, and wanted to know how Curry felt about the same. Curry reacted by saying if one is around the Warriors long enough, it is bound to happen to them. He then joked and said Spalding is printed on the side of his face.

A few days ago, Steph moved to the #2 spot on the All-time 3point FG made list, passing Reggie Miller. Klay was curious about when Steph would overtake Ray Allen and sit at the top of the list. Steph replied and said:
“You’re in the booth right now, so it’s your job and know these stats and to be able to do the quick math. You’re supposed to tell me.” Klay assumed it should take no longer than 40 games for his splash brother to achieve the feat, till someone told him there are 400 3 pointers needed.

The interview was a reminder of how fun the Splash brothers are together. It would be great to see the two share a court again next season, as Klay makes his recovery from an Achilles injury.
