“Box score fans are the worst!”: Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard go off on NBA ‘casuals’ for clowning Russell Westbrook and co. during early stages of game vs Nets
Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal bash people who claim to know NBA basketball but only look at box scores following Westbrook game winner.
Russell Westbrook had his best game of the season last night as he dropped 41 points in the Washington Wizards win against the Brooklyn Nets. Though the Wizards are still at the bottom of the barrel with only 4 wins compared to their 12 losses, this game proved they can hang with the big guns out East.
Westbrook has been criticized throughout his career for being an inefficient scorer but he threw all those claims out the window last night as he shot 57% from the field. He also drained an astonishing 4 shots from beyond the arc on 7 attempts.
Following the Wizards win, Damian Lillard took to Twitter to congratulate the former OKC star on his game.
Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal have an interaction over Twitter regarding NBA ‘casuals’.
A fan on Twitter asked Damian Lillard on his thoughts regarding Westbrook’s game last night. Dame kept it short and simple and said, “Russ was hoopin.”

He then proceeded to go off on people who claim to watch NBA basketball but in reality just look at box scores and call it a day. Bradley Beal chimed in on this and agreed with the Blazers superstar, saying, “Box score fans are the worst.”

This tweet was in regards to Russell Westbrook’s impact on the floor and the little things he does that lead to a win. Though the 2017 MVP may be having to deal with father time in the near future, his basketball IQ is off the charts.
Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook have had beef on the court for several years now. Most famously, Dame sent Russ’s OKC packing in the 2019 Playoffs. The first round series consisted of several back and forths between the two.
Over the years, the two remain competitive when matched up against one another. Dame recently came out and admitted that if he were to choose a rival in the NBA, it would be Westbrook.
