Super Bowl LV Prize Money : How Much Money do the Winners of the Super Bowl get?
Super Bowl LV Prize Money : How much does the winner of the Super Bowl make?
Short answer: According to the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, each member of the winning team will make $150,000.
With some simple math, the champion team wins a little over 8.25 million dollars.
It isn’t just the winning team that makes money, however. The members of the losing team make half of what each member of the winning team makes – $75,000.
Suprisingly however, it appears as if the coaching staff doesn’t win money from the Super Bowl. Regardless of their importance to the team, it’s only the individual players who split the winnings.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are worth $2.28bn and the Kansas City Chiefs are worth around $2.5bn. The 8.25 million they could make from winning are pennies to the team, but it definitely adds some incentives for each player to play a little harder.
Regardless of who wins, each player in the Super Bowl appears to be well financially compensated.
