“Michael Jordan more unstoppable than Kobe Bryant”: When Jimmy Butler called the Lakers legend tougher to stop than LeBron James, paid tribute to the GOATs
During a rapid-fire interview with The Players’ Tribune, Jimmy Butler made it clear who he’d pick between Michael Jordan, LeBron and Kobe.
These 3 players are commonly thought of as the greatest wings of all time. LeBron and MJ are currently being touted as the two greatest basketball players ever. The consensus still leans towards MJ, but the gap could shorten by a ton if LeBron wins a title this year.
Butler is one of those to have guarded both Kobe Bryant and LeBron James through their latter years. Even before the 2019-20 season fully kicked into gear, he’d backed the Lakers to go all the way. It was obvious why – the one-two punch of LeBron and AD has been unstoppable.
Jimmy Butler gives us his picks between Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and LeBron James
Butler gave a candid interview about his time in the NBA and as a basketball player to The Players’ Tribune (really, when is he not candid?).
The Heat star was interviewed by the Tribune crew at the start of last season. He voted LeBron James and Anthony Davis as the most unstoppable duo in the league. He also gave the Lakers the best title shot. Both his predictions turned out perfectly in the Bubble playoffs.
Jimmy Buckets was also asked who he’d pick as the more unstoppable guy: Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan? Butler took a while to make his pick, eventually going with the consensus GOAT.

Butler also gave his props to Kobe Bryant though, picking him as more unstoppable than LeBron James. Nevertheless, he might have a different opinion after facing him in last year’s Finals. He did pick James’s Heatles as the most unstoppable team he’s faced.
