“LA Lakers will be signing DeMarcus Cousins”: Kevin O’Connor believes the Rockets center will team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis once again
Kevin O’Connor took to Twitter to say that he believes DeMarcus Cousins may be on his way to the Lakers to team up with LeBron and AD.
Merely a few years ago, DeMarcus Cousins was arguably the best center in the NBA. However, after suffering a slew of major lower body injuries, Boogie’s career took a massive detour. A player who was set to sign a max contract has now been cut from the semi-rebuilding Houston Rockets roster.
A silver lining to this however would be that the Houston Rockets did sign Demarcus Cousins to a guaranteed contract worth $2.3 million so either way, Cousins gets paid this season.
With Cousins now free to sign with whichever ball-club he prefers, multiple teams have already been linked to the former All-Star.
Kevin O’Connor says that DeMarcus Cousins might be pursued by the Los Angeles Lakers
Cousins played back-up center to Christian Wood during his stint with the Houston Rockets and produced some solid minutes for them. His defense was beyond atrocious but he was serviceable as a stretch big on the offensive end of the floor.
It was clear from his limited minutes that Cousins has lost some of his brute strength that allowed him to bully his way around the rim. He has however found others ways to be productive, mainly from the perimeter.
Kevin O’Connor of the Ringer took to Twitter to claim that the Lakers might be interested in bringing back Boogie Cousins.
“The Lakers will be among the teams to pursue DeMarcus Cousins. The market will be limited for Cousins. For LA or any team in need for big man depth, few options bring higher upside.”
Sources: The Lakers will be among the teams to pursue DeMarcus Cousins.
The market will be limited for Cousins, sources say. He has struggled this year after returning from multiple major injuries. But for LA or any team in need of big man depth, few options bring higher upside.

Cousins was on the Los Angeles Lakers roster for the entirety of the 2019-20 season. But he didn’t set foot on NBA hardwood even once as he was still on the mend from a major injury. He did however receive a ring for being a part of the Lakers organization.
Expect to see Cousins actually take to the floor this time around if he signs with the Los Angeles Lakers.
