‘Give me LeBron James, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Zion Williamson’: Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal builds another unbeatable team with current NBA stars
Shaquille O’Neal includes LeBron James and Stephen Curry in a lineup that he believes would beat practically any team.
For nearly two decades, former Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal had dominated the league. He made grown men look like kids in front of him as he bullied his way to the paint. If there is someone who knows about winning, it’s this 7-foot-1, 4-time NBA champ.
During his playing days, Shaquille O’Neal has played with some really great players. He’s paired up with the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Garnett and Karl Malone among others. Shaq has often created hypothetical ‘super lineups’ from dominant teams.
This time Shaq created a super team, including himself at the center position. At the Rich Eisen Show, he named the four players who he would pair up with to create an unbeatable super team. He revealed:
“Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, phew… Zion Williamson, and LeBron, yes.”
‘There’s no way anybody is beating us’: Shaquille O’Neal on his preferred superteam
Despite the fact that one can only imagine a team with this lineup, it is something fun to think about. When Shaq was asked about his player preferences, he gave a valid explanation on why he thought nobody could defeat his superteam:
“Okay, you’re gonna have to double me, and Steph and Klay would be wide open, right. LeBron’s gonna get that tank, take it off the glass, and go full speed. He’s gonna have three guys that’s gonna be in front of him.”

“I’ll trail, I don’t want to be in nobody’s way. So he’s going to have two guys on the wing, Steph and Klay. Then you have another guy that’s going to tear the rim off, Zion Williamson. That’s my five right there and nobody’s beating us.”
All four of the players the Hall-Of-Famer mentioned are absolutely elite players. Each one of them have had their individual successes in the league, with a young Zion still left to dominate the league as expected. With all four of these heavily talented players and a prime Shaq, it is actually possible that this deadly lineup could go undefeated.
