The Knicks proved yet again how they have the best commentary crew in the NBA, with Clyde Frazier joking about Al Horford with Mike Breen.

Great announcers make basketball games more watchable for casual fans. Apart from breaking the game down, the best announcers also have amazing comic timing. This is something that comes with years on the microphone.

Fortunately for NBA fans, announcers for most big-market teams are downright amazing. The Knicks, Nets, Lakers, Clippers, Raptors, Bulls and the Heat have all got amazing commentary crews. Most people rank the Knicks’ crew as the league’s best, given the presence of the iconic Mike Breen.

Clyde Frazier is usually his partner on the sidelines, and the greatest Knick of all time is a sweet addition for sure. Apart from his encyclopedic knowledge and vocabulary, Clyde (or Walt as they like to call him) has perfect comic timing.

Horford is playing a valuable mentor role on the Thunder this year. With his peak playing days essentially gone, Horford has settled into life at OKC effortlessly. But that isn’t what Walt admires about him so much, as we understood from this following exchange.

Clyde Frazier: “That’s not what I admire about him”

Mike: “Why don’t you tell us again, Clyde”

Clyde: “He married Miss Universe”

Horford has been married to Miss Universe 2003, Amelia Vega, for 10 years now. Vega was 18 years old when she won this much-coveted award. She’s a bit older than Big Al, and she’s also a regular courtside spectator at his games.
