“We think it’s a good one” – Sebastian Vettel has finally revealed the Bond Girl his Aston Martin for this season shares its name with.

Aston Martin’s return has added a new dimension to Formula 1. The iconic British automakers count Racing Point and Force India as their most recent predecessors. And with their return, new fans have joined in flocks to get entertained by this mind-boggling sport.

What has boosted Aston Martin’s appeal further is the signing of the legendary Sebastian Vettel. The German left the most iconic team Ferrari to join a team which could has the potential to give any team a run for their money this decade.

Vettel, on his part, has paid a tribute to the team by naming his car after a Bond girl. Ahead of the Aston Martin’s AMR21 launch, Vettel teased fans with the potential name.

“The problem is I don’t know yet.  James would be a bit too obvious, but you know I’m thinking about it and playing around with the Bond theme.

“But it’s a fun thing and it’s always been a female name, so check out all the Bond girls to see which one is the best match. I was going to say we should meet them all, but some of them are the age of my grandmother.”

What is the name of Vettel’s Aston Martin?

For those unaware, the Red Bull champ is renowed for giving female names to his F1 cars – from Julie to Lucilla. For his Aston Martin, he has chosen Honey Ryder, the first-ever Bond Girl, who appeared in the 1962 film Dr. No.

“It’s the first of its kind. A new story. We think it’s a good one.”
