ESPN’s Brian Windhorst believes Lakers’ superstar LeBron James is trying to recruit Stephen Curry to the Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James is one of the smartest non-GM GMs in the league. Even though he has not been the GM officially ever, but his impact shapes the roster of whatever team he is on.

The current-day Los Angeles Lakers roster is nothing like what it was when LBJ made his way to LA. The only two players still in the roster there, who were there when LeBron joined are KCP and Kyle Kuzma.

The All-Star weekend was a big day for basketball fans, as this was the first time Stephen Curry and LeBron James suited up for the same team.

It was a joy to watch and made everyone wonder how good the team would be if these two joined forced. However, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, King James is trying to make this dream into a reality.

Is LeBron James trying to take Stephen Curry to the Lakers?

LeBron James and Stephen Curry were seen being very close to each other during the All-Star events. Maybe it could be due to having a camaraderie, after years of being on opposite sides of the court.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst seems to believe there is more to it than just this. He believes LBJ is trying to recruit the Chef and take him to the Lakers.

These rumors are all based on the fact that Stephen Curry declined a contract extension in the offseason. However, as the Warriors GM Bob Myers said, the only reason Curry didn’t sign this year was so he can sign a bigger contract next season.

Curry has always said he wants to be a Warrior for the foreseeable future. While playing with the King seems like a lucrative offer, I don’t think Curry would take that up.
