Weather of Antigua West Indies Day 4: What is the weather forecast for 2nd West Indies vs Sri Lanka Test?

Weather of Antigua West Indies: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather forecast for the second WI vs SL Test.

The fourth day of the second Test of the ongoing Sri Lanka’s tour of West Indies in North Sound will commence 30 minutes earlier than scheduled time to compensate for the loss of overs on Day 3 due to rain.

Less than 40 overs were possible at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium yesterday as rain played spoilsport on more than one occasion. The officials eventually had to call the day off as no further play was possible.

After Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and chose to field, West Indies had scored 354/10 in 111.1 overs. In response, the visitors will resume from their overnight score of 250/8 in 103.1 overs as the responsibility of decreasing the lead is once again on rookie batsman Pathum Nissanka.

Weather of Antigua West Indies on Day 4

Contrary to what was the case in the most part of Day 3, Day 4 is expected to start under the sun as there is no forecast of rain in the first half. Temperature ranging between 26 degree to 28 degree in the first two session should call for ideal conditions to play Test cricket.

Having said that, it will only be in the post-afternoon session that there is a strong prediction of water pouring down in North Sound. A sharp increase in humidity will be accompanied by an equally sharp increase in rain probability.

It is around 02:00 PM (local time) that the rain probability is at 87%. While the number will decrease subsequently, it is expected to remain in the high 70s. Therefore, one shouldn’t be surprised if inclement weather conditions affect the third session wholly or partially today.

Considering the rain probability, it would be a near-miracle if rain doesn’t affect the match today.
