Why has Shadab Khan been ruled out of Pakistan’s tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe?
Shadab Khan been ruled out: The Pakistani all-rounder will return back to Pakistan to undergo a four-week rehabilitation program.
Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan won’t play any further part in the ongoing tour of South Africa and the imminent tour of Zimbabwe. Khan, 22, will travel back to Pakistan to undergo a four-week long rehabilitation program.
In the 17 overs that Khan had bowled in two ODIs, he had leaked 109 runs without picking a wicket. It is worth mentioning that Khan has remained wicket-less since the tour of New Zealand last year – conceding 197 runs in 27 overs across two ODIs and three T20Is since then.
Batting at comparatively higher positions in both the ODIs, Khan had scored 46 runs at an average and strike rate of 23 and 86.79 respectively.
Why has Shadab Khan been ruled out out of Pakistan’s tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe?
Batting at No. 6 in a 342-run chase in Johannesburg yesterday, Khan had injured his toe while batting. Sharing the development via a press release, PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) revealed that Khan has suffered an “intra articular communicated fracture”.
“X-rays conducted following the match revealed an intra articular communicated fracture though there is neither any displacement nor angulation. The injury will be treated conservatively and Shadab will undergo a four-week rehab,” said PCB in a statement published on their website.
Khan himself took to social media platform Twitter to admit that he hasn’t performed up to the mark in the recent times. Requesting people to keep him in their prayers, Khan expressed confidence about working hard and trying his best to win matches for Pakistan once again.
Remember me in your prayers. I am putting in a lot of effort, I believe if u keep working hard and keep fighting through tough times, Allah helps u reach ur goals. I will keep working hard and will bounce back inshAllah. Thank you for all your love and support. #PakistanZindabad

It is worth mentioning that Khan had also returned back from the tour of New Zealand after suffering a thigh injury last year.
