Why did LaMarcus Aldridge announce his retirement all of a sudden?
LaMarcus Aldridge took it to his Twitter page to announce his retirement. He posted a heartfelt letter, where he elaborated on the reason for his sudden retirement.
Aldridge revealed that he was dealing with an irregular heartbeat in the last game he played. The rhythm got worse later that day, so he told the Nets about the same next day.
Aldridge is better now, but after the diagnosis, both the big man and the team have decided that him stepping back from the game is the best call for him.
LMA thanked the Blazers for giving him 9 wonderful seasons. He followed the same by thanking the Spurs, and finally, he thanked the Nets for allowing him to be who he is, and play his natural game.
