“But in Formula 1 there are 23 races” – Haas’ Nikita Mazepin has moved on from horrific F1 debut in Bahrain
“But in Formula 1 there are 23 races” – Haas’ Nikita Mazepin has suggested he has moved on from his terrible spin in the Bahrain Grand Prix, his Formula 1 debut.
Russian rookie Nikita Mazepin had a debut to forget in the Sakhir International Circuit, going out in the very first lap. He lost control of his Haas and was hitting the wall seconds into the race.
The incident was embarrassing, and not what the young driver had planned for. He had also similarly struggled during the pre-season and over the course of the weekend in Bahrain.

But, there is no doubt over his potential, and what he can bring to the Haas table. And going by his most recent statements, where he has confirmed he has moved on from the spin, things might finally be on the up for the F1 debutant.
“I’m totally over it. Obviously, I was very upset. Things happened very quickly and the moment that I realized where I had ended up, which was in the wall, was a very painful one.
“But in Formula 1 there are 23 races. I have raced 12 rounds a year previously and then nine before that so you obviously have your ups, you have your downs and it is important to get as much knowledge from the bad experience as possible. I think when, as a racing driver, you have difficult days it is good to put it behind you.
