“He actually saved Mr. Spriggs from further injury”: Aaron Donald’s lawyer dismisses rumours that Donald assaulted someone and provides video proof.
Aaron Donald was accused of assaulting DeVincent Spriggs at a party this past week. The Rams defensive tackle denied any allegations, and his lawyer provided video proof along with witness confirmations of the same.
The 3 time defensive player of the year went from being restrained by friends to pulling people off of DeVincent Spriggs, the man alleging that Donald severely beat him in an altercation over the weekend, Donald’s lawyer claimed Friday morning. Donald’s lawyer Casey White detailed the events that took place on the evening.

Aaron Donald’s lawyer said video proof and witnesses disprove the allegations
“He actually saved Mr. Spriggs from further injury,” White said, via Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “It’s fantastic, from a defence attorney’s perspective, to be honest with you.” White said video and witnesses confirm this as well as the fact that others then “tuned up” Spriggs before Donald intervened as part of an effort to break things up.

He said Donald attended a crowded gathering at a private residence above a bar on East Carson Street, one that included many people he didn’t know. Ten minutes after he arrived, White said, Donald felt something jab him in the back, and it turned out to be an elbow from Spriggs.
After getting into an altercation with Donald, security escorted Spriggs out of the party. But White added that Spriggs was still around when Donald and his older brother stepped out. Spriggs then went on to swing a liquor bottle at Aaron Donald that actually grazed the back of his head. This is when multiple people pounced on Spriggs in Donald’s defence.
“Aaron then breaks free from the restraints — and this is all on video, so I’m not making this up — he then goes to the pile where this melee is taking place,” White said. “He starts tearing people off, protecting Mr. Spriggs.”

White went on to add that Aaron Donald only told him one thing. ‘I’m not paying anybody anything. You and I can walk to the police department and tell them the story. Get the video, get the witnesses, I didn’t do anything. I just want to go to the weight room and not have anybody ask me about this situation, because nothing happened.’”
Casey White also showed an email from the Pittsburgh police that corroborated the video proof showing no signs of Donald assaulting. Thus in all likeliness we will see the case be dropped against Aaron Donald.
