“Luka Doncic had his stuff everywhere”: Jalen Brunson claims that he switched lockers in the Mavericks’ locker room as soon as he got a chance
Jalen Brunson says that having Luka Doncic as a teammate is disastrous for the Mavericks’ locker room’s cleanliness and orderliness.
Luka entered this season as one of the league’s rising stars. He’s consolidated that reputation with multiple game-winners and exemplary performances all year long.
Luka Doncic also has an infectiously positive temperament that has brought the Mavericks franchise back to life. His camaraderie with teammates like Boban and Porzingis has been on display on and off the court.
Everyone on the team seems to love most aspects of his play and behaviour. However, fellow 2018 draftee Jalen Brunson has a few differing thoughts – just like Maxi Kleber does.
Jalen Brunson says he moved his locker away from Luka Doncic
Jalen Brunson recently gave an interview to Mavericks beat writer Tim Cato. The Mavs’ de facto 6th man claims that he’s a ‘clean freak’, and that hanging out with Luka affects that:
“The shoes is definitely a thing. My first year — obviously, I like shoes, too, but I’m a neat freak. So I need everything in my locker in order. That’s how I operate; that’s how my mind stays clear and all that.”
What’s the worst thing about Luka Doncic?
“His stuff was just everywhere. Everywhere. As soon as I had an opportunity, without hesitation I moved lockers.”
And don’t get @jalenbrunson1 started on Luka’s shoes.

“Me and Luka were next to each other (in the locker room) our rookie year. His stuff was just everywhere. Everywhere. As soon as I had an opportunity to move, without hesitation I moved lockers.”
“I can’t function without some type of neatness or organization. So, yeah, his shoes are a problem. I wouldn’t say that’s the worst thing, but it’s one thing with me that I had to get away for my mental state.”
Whatever their negligible off-court ‘quabbles’ may be, Brunson and Doncic are definitely one of the best young pairs in the NBA. Their point guard play has kept the Mavericks within striking distance of a top-6 berth in the Conference.
