Russell Westbrook has high praises for his teammates as the Wizards turned their season around: “When the team clicks and plays well, everybody eats”
Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook credits his teammates for the wonderful comeback after a slow start to the season.
The Washington Wizards have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA of late. They have been playing at a high level, having a 9-1 record in their last 10, with the one defeat being an OT thriller.
A huge reason for the same has been the star duo of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal. Bradley Beal has been leading the league in scoring all season, averaging 31.1 points.
Russell Westbrook has been on a rampage in the month of April. He has averaged a triple-double this whole month, marking the 10th such occasion in his career.
He has put up 14 triple-doubles this season, putting him at 177 for his career. Westbrook now needs 5 more to overtake Oscar Robertson to overtake the All-Time record.

Russell Westbrook applauds his teammates for their impressive individual performances
The Washington Wizards had the worst record in the NBA 25 games into the season. Now, with 9 games left in the regular season, the Wizards seem like they would make their bid to participate in the playoffs, with the play-in spot in their grasp.
Westbrook has been one of the key driving forces, and he knows it. However, he is adamant to credit his teammates where credit is due. The Wizards have had solid individual performances from various players like Rui Hachimura, Alex Len, Ish Smith, and more.
In the post game interview after the Cavaliers win, Russell Westbrook was seen praising his teammates. He said, “It’s so much fun for me to see guys do well. When they click and the team does well, everybody eats. I’m happy that guys are putting their work in and able to see it come to life.”
The season is far from over for the Wizards, and they would keep relying on the contributions from all around the team.
