“Don’t any of you dare blame WWE or Vince” – RVD defends Vince McMahon from fans blaming him for Wrestler’s death
RVD defends Vince McMahon from fans blaming him for Wrestler’s death. The WWE Chairman has been accused of being responsible for several deaths.
The World of Pro-wrestling used to be very different back in the day. Before the wellness program, there was rampant drug use and addiction to painkillers after years of putting their body in the line. With no system in place, wrestlers continued to drop like flies and it took the deaths of Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrerofor the WWE to finally reform itself.

For years, fans have blamed Vince McMahon and held him responsible for the death of several wrestlers. According to WWE Rob Van Dam though, fans have been conditioned to feel that way. Instead, he suggested that they consider things before they accepted them as fact and advocated for self responsibility.

“You’ve all been “conditioned” to feel that way. As a nonconformist, I consider things before I take them as fact. If I swallow 50 somas & wash it down with vodka this afternoon at home, on the road, even in an arena, don’t any of you dare blame @WWE or Vince. #ridiculous #think”

Fans in the comments section were divided over RVD’s opinion. However, he does bring up an interesting point. Yes, Vince McMahon can do better when it comes to treating the people who wrestle for his company. But it is also upto the wrestlers to be responsible for their well being, instead of pumping themselves with drugs and painkillers to their gill.
Sure, Vince is far from blameless but to put it all on his shoulders is turning a blind eye to those who unfortunately gave in to their demons.
