“LeBron James may be the greatest player of all time”: Doris Burke hilariously backs up talking about the Lakers MVP by giving him the edge over Michael Jordan

Doris Burke justifies herself for talking about LeBron James at great length by claiming he may be the greatest player of all time. 

The NBA seems to have a shuffling roster of players every decade that define the way those 10 years or so play out in terms of a historical significance. The 1960s had Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain, the 80s were dominated by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, the 2000s with guys like Kobe Bryant, Shaq and Tim Duncan, and with the 2010s having wrapped up, it’s clear who the face of that decade was. 

LeBron James reached 8 straight NBA Finals throughout the entirety of the 2010s, while capitalizing on 3 of those and winning Finals MVP in all three instances. He did of course snag his 4th title and Finals MVP in 2020 but that does not qualify for the ‘decade’ argument.

If you were to broaden the time-gap and make it generational, it’s incredible that LeBron James would still be considered the greatest player of this generation as well. After winning his 4th straight title, fans took it a bit further however, as they pitted him against the ‘GOAT’, Michael Jordan, for the aforementioned title. 

Doris Burke defends herself for constantly talking about LeBron James. 

In terms of who they fancy as the greatest to ever lace up and take to NBA hardwood, Doris Burke is cut from the same cloth as Brian Windhorst. Both ESPN analysts believe that LeBron James is the greatest NBA player of all time and make convincing arguments to back their case up. 

In a recent interview where she read her Twitter mentions, Burke was questioned several times by fans as to why she continues to praise the ‘King’ as emphatically as she does. In response, she said, “LeBron James is the greatest player of his generation and perhaps the greatest player of all time. So, I can promise you this: when the ‘King’ is playing, I’m gonna absolutely enjoy it.”
