“Seen LeBron James down 3-2 before and seen him bring his team back to another NBA Finals”: Draymond Green wary of the Lakers coming back with a vengeance vs Devin Booker’s Suns
The Lakers are in a huge muddle trailing to the Suns in the playoffs and they need their leader LeBron James to pull them out of the hole.
The Los Angeles Lakers are in a tight spot in their playoff series against the Phoenix Suns as they trail 2-3. It has also been a very rough season for the Purple and Gold as they have had several injury concerns which have hindered their progress as a team.
The Lakers have a roster that can take on any team in the league without much hesitation and may even end up winning. But with the current circumstances, a lot of people have already started writing off Frank Vogel’s men.
Anthony Davis’ persistent injury concern throughout the season has been a primary concern for the Lakers. He tried to play through a knee injury which he suffered in Game 3 and things did not go down well for him as he ended up having a groin strain in Game 4. It forced the Lakers to play without one of their star players and they suffered a heavy defeat.

“I’ve seen LeBron James down 3-2 before”: Draymond Green wary of the Lakers in Games 6 & 7
Amid all these concern, Draymond Green is still backing the Lakers and he feels that the Purple and Gold are the team to beat in the Western Conference.
This prediction came after Green claimed that the Brooklyn Nets are destined for the NBA finals this season. So in an AMA session with Bleacher Report the Warriors veteran said that he does not see any team beating the Lakers in the West especially under LeBron James’ leadership.
“Who is coming out of the West is coming out of LA. I’ve seen LeBron down 3-2 before and seen him bring his team back to another NBA Finals,” Green said of James and the Lakers.
It is a very bold statement that has multiple reasons to backfire but still, it holds a lot of weight mainly due to LeBron James. The Lakers have been shorthanded with Anthony Davis’ injury concern and the Suns are shining as brightly as ever under the able leadership of Chris Paul.
However, the task is not impossible as LeBron is known for doing extraordinary things. Green from his personal experience remembers how LeBron carried the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA finals against the Warriors. The Cavs were 3-1 down but they came back to clinch the trophy. So Green warns everyone to write off Lebron James at their own peril.
