“Is that a real question?”: Kevin Durant mocks TNT’s Jared Greenberg for asking if the Nets star thought he could get back to his MVP level
Kevin Durant put the Milwaukee Bucks to the sword for the second straight game in what promises to be another deep playoff run.
If there has ever been a contender who’ve been pulverized like this and gone on to win the title, the Bucks need to find footage of it. Because they look far away from the dominant defensive unit they were against the Miami Heat.
Kevin Durant and this Brooklyn Nets team, on the other hand, is proving that they’re a championship-caliber squad. Putting the Bucks away by a whopping 39 points in the absence of James Harden is no laughing matter. Some of the best teams in NBA history would struggle to do this.
KD has clearly proved through the course of this season that he remains the world’s most effortless scorer. He’s bumped his efficiency up to career highs in many departments and from many shooting zones. It’s almost as if the Achilles tear happened in a different life.
Indeed, any concerns that one would’ve had about his fitness should’ve been remedied in his outings last month. Durant hung 2 great games on Giannis and co in their clashes in May after his return from injury.
Kevin Durant calls out Jared Greenberg for asking a dolly question
Now that the Nets look like such overwhelming favorites to win the NBA title, the line of questioning should be regarding their ongoing playoff run.
Instead, Jared Greenberg took us back to the start of the season with his post-game question: “Tomorrow marks 2 years since your injury. Did you ever think you’d be this good again?”
Kevin Durant couldn’t quite fathom the relevance of this question at this point: “Is that a real question? Of course! What you want me to say to that?”

Safe to say KD ain’t lacking any confidence 🤣😤pic.twitter.com/T2noVxaWXm

Jared wisely decided to acknowledge how he’d thoughtlessly asked such a silly, obvious question. Hopefully TNT gets us better sideline coverage for the upcoming games.
