“I would be idiotic to say that I don’t want the MVP back”: Packers O-linemen David Bakhtiari and Davante Adams comment on Aaron Rodgers missing Minicamp.
The Packers had the No.1 overall offence in 2020. And most of hid had to do with solid play from QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Davante Adams and OT David Bakhtiari. However Aaron Rodgers missed mandatory minicamp, and both Adams and Bakhtiari had telling comments on the situation.
Rodgers, Adams and Bakhtiari were all amongst the best at their position in 2020. Aaron Rodgers had yet another historic season, on his way to winning his 3rd MVP. And both Adams and Bakhtiari had All-Pro seasons.
Crazy stat of the Packers offence in 2020. Aaron Rodgers has mor TD passes (48) than their punter had punts this whole season (46) That’s offensive efficiency

However, the team may not be able to replicate its 2020 success in 2021. Aaron Rodgers is officially holding out in a bid to secure a long term contract with the Green Bay Packers. And even though it isn’t much of a surprise, the same came as a disappointment to the Packers organisation.
GOOD LUCK: Aaron Rodgers is officially holding out with the Green Bay Packers, meaning the Jordan Love and Blake Bortles era has begun! 😂 pic.twitter.com/pnI3sFnpSc

David Bakhtiari and Davante Adams commented on the Aaron Rodgers situation.
Bakhtiari and Adams both missed OTA’s. But appeared for mandatory minicamp earlier week.
“I care about Aaron Rodgers from a friend perspective,” Bakhtiari said. “Whatever he wants to do, whatever the situation that comes out, I will never hold any grudge against him. That is my friend, that is someone I’ve appreciated, someone who’s done a lot for this organization and a lot for me as an individual. Now, as a teammate, I would be idiotic to say that I don’t want the MVP back.”
“I think it’s the best to just let him do his thing, figure it out, and let him know I’m here for him, and keep giving him that support and backing him up with that,” Adams said. “And like I said, the moment he gets back–which I’m praying for and I think we all are–we’ll get right back to it like we were before.”

Missing mandatory minicamp cost Rodgers over $93,000 dollars in fines, but Rodgers doesn’t seem to be worried about the money. If Rodgers has indeed played his last game for the Packers, a lot of the load on offence will have to be carried by David Bakhtiari and Davante Adams in 2021.
