LeBron James expressed concern about former teammate Kyrie Irving as the latter suffered an ankle twist in Game 4 today.

The Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks were slated to play an exciting Game 4 at Fiserv Forum today. This prospect was marred by the actions of a certain 2-time MVP. As Giannis rushed into the paint to get a rebound, he undercut Kyrie Irving late in the 2nd quarter.

The Brooklyn Nets lost Kyrie for the remainder of the game – a game in which they’d already fallen behind with him in. As a result, they succumbed to a second straight defeat in Wisconsin.

Kevin Durant did his best to keep the Nets afloat as PJ Tucker defended him stoutly. The former Rockets forward managed to get away with a ton of physical play for most of the game.

But KD was still successful in registering 16 points in the 3rd quarter and keeping the Nets within touching distance. They were within 11 points of the Bucks with 5:40 to go, but that was as close as they could get.

Kyrie Irving, meanwhile, is currently being reviewed for any residual injuries. It is unclear at the time of writing how long the master ballhandler will stay out.

A tidal wave of reactions flooded NBA Twitter after this highly suspect play by Giannis Antetokounmpo. Many have been calling the NBA out for not even calling this a flagrant foul at the time.

LeBron James is way above all of those conversations. What the Lakers star saw in the play was yet another superstar getting injured this year. As a top-2 MVP candidate before his own injury, LeBron can fully relate to the circumstances.

Thus, the Lakers star posted an update on his social media as soon as it was confirmed that Kyrie would be out for the rest of Game 4.
