Most runs in WTC 2021: Who has scored the most runs in ICC World Test Championship 2021?
Most runs in WTC 2021: The SportsRush present before you a list of highest run-scorers in World Test Championship 2021.
The inaugural season of the ICC World Test Championship is all set to reach its culmination this week as India and New Zealand will lock horns in Southampton in the all-important final match.
The iconic match will put an end to a tournament which lasted for a couple of years starting with Ashes 2019. While the format and points system were already a subject of debate, the tournament clashing with COVID-19 pandemic further complicated things.
Having said that, the ICC (International Cricket Council) seems to have done the best it could do to ensure that the tournament gets over by the original deadline.
As far as the batsmen are concerned, the top four highest run-scorers belong to Australia and England. Talking about the finalists, only two (both Indian) out of the Top 10 run-scorers will be playing in the final match at the Ageas Bowl.
Having scored 1,095 runs in 28 innings at an average of 43.8 including three centuries and six half-centuries, India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is their highest run-scorer in the Test Championship. After Rahane and Rohit Sharma (1,030), India captain Virat Kohli (877 runs in 22 innings at 43.85) is third on the list among Indian batsmen.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, who is their highest run-scorer in the tournament as of now with 817 runs in 14 innings at an average of 58.35 is 16th on the list otherwise. Other than Williamson, New Zealand batsman Tom Latham (680) and Henry Nicholls (585) have also been among the runs in this competition.
