“Bandwagon Nets fans won’t know Brook Lopez”: New NBA fans shocked to find out how Bucks center is their franchise’s all-time leading scorer
NBA Twitter finds a hilarious and downright unbelievable fact about Milwaukee Bucks star Brook Lopez and the Brooklyn Nets.
The Milwaukee Bucks’ series against the Brooklyn Nets was arguably the best fans had the pleasure of seeing during this edition of the NBA playoffs.
The excitement was immeasurable ahead of game 1 of this series for both teams. But, fans will probably also remember the Bucks’ biggest worry headed into this series, the performance of Brook Lopez.
Before the series had even begun, many in the NBA community believed that the big-man would be a liability on the defensive end. The 33-year-old has been clumsy on countless occasions as a drop-coverage big. And while that wasn’t fatal to them against Miami, Brooklyn had the players to make the Bucks pay.
Still, Mike Budenholzer trusted his player, and boy did it pay off. The player played some very good defense throughout the series and even seemed to get better every game. Add to that his contribution on the offensive end as well, and he proved just about everyone wrong by the end.
After the Bucks’ game 7 win, NBA Twitter went ballistic for quite some time. And in their celebrations, it seems the hive-mind has found some shocking facts, that we simply must get into.
NBA Twitter discovers that Bucks star Brook Lopez is the Brooklyn Nets’ all-time leading scorer
No, we’re not joking. Yes, we pinched ourselves as well.
In 2008, the New Jersey Nets selected Brook Lopez with the 10th-overall pick in the NBA draft. This franchise would relocate to Brooklyn after the 2011-12 season. Of course, Brook Lopez would leave for Los Angeles in 2017. However, just before he did, he achieved something remarkable.
The then Nets star became the franchise’s leading scorer, at 10,444 points, doing it in 562 games. The second one on that list is Buck Williams, who stands just 4 points away from first place.
I bet every Nets fan in Barclays Center doesn’t even know Brook Lopez is their franchise leading scorer lmaooooo

Frankly, we couldn’t believe our eyes either when we first saw it. But once you get over the shock, you realize that this perhaps the biggest possible flex of all time.
Baffling as it is, for a team filled with offensive juggernauts in Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, Brook Motherflippin Lopez is, and perhaps always will be, at the top of the scorning list.
