Los Angeles Clippers hold on to force a Game 6, gives Head Coach Ty Lue a wonderful 10-2 record while facing eliminations

The Los Angeles Clippers have done it again. With their backs against the wall, the Clippers have found a way to stay alive, and extend the fight for another day. Many assumed that when the Clippers went down 3-1, things were over for them. These voices amplified when Paul George had scored only 11 points at the half, despite the Clippers being up 59-52. Paul George came out roaring in the third quarter, and scored 30 points in the second half, to lead the Clippers to a 116-102 win.

Head Coach Ty Lue was impressed by the shots the Clippers were getting at the half, despite the team not knocking down a lot of them. This all changed in the second half, as the Clippers found their rhythm offensively. The Clips now have pushed the series to 3-2 and forced a Game 6.

Ty Lue gathers heaps of praises

Clippers Head Coach Tyronn Lue has been one of the underlooked coaches in the NBA since his arrival. It may be because he coached LeBron James and the Cavs as his first gig. However, with his persistence, the world has been witnessing Ty Lue’s brilliance.

The 44-year-old has been behind some of the wonderful NBA comebacks, including the 3-1 Finals comeback by the Cavaliers in 2016. He holds a rather unique record while facing elimination games.

Tyronn Lue has moved to 10-2 when his team is facing elimination.

The two losses on his record game when the Warriors beat the Cavs in the 2017 and 2018 Finals. It is a mighty impressive record, and NBA veteran Jamal Crawford acknowledges the same.

The Clippers now head back to Los Angeles for Game 6. Ty Lue would like to build on his record and help his team stay alive in the series. Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals takes place on Wednesday at the Staples Center.
