“You usually don’t see a cougar that’s not in the wild”: Charles Barkley hilariously calls his boss a ‘cougar’ on NBAonTNT while on national TV
Charles Barkley doesn’t hold back on the jokes and calls his boss, Tara August, a cougar on live, national TV on NBAonTNT.
Charles Barkley has famously made a name for himself as being someone who does not look to check himself after saying some questionable things. What makes it even more hilarious is that he says these things on national television and almost certainly prompts gut-wrenchingly amusing reactions from Shaq, Ernie, and Kenny.
Chuck has said everything from calling the women down in San Antonio fat to taking shots at Jussie Smollett for faking a racially charged hate crime while using a credit card. Personalities like Charles Barkley are rare to find in this day and age of cancel culture. Somehow, the ‘Chuckster’ has evaded being cancelled well into 2021.
His comments on Tara August, the senior vice president and essentially his boss, didn’t go unnoticed in last night’s broadcast of the Inside the NBAonTNT show.
Charles Barkley calls his boss a cougar on national television.
Charles Barkley and his antics seem to never take any rest as on the NBAonTNT’s final broadcast of the 2020-21 NBA season, the camera panned to Tara August exchanging pleasantries with Marv Albert. Albert has officially called it a career after 55 years as a broadcaster so August was paying her respects to the legendary commentator.
Chuck however, seemed to have been on a completely different train of thought and commented on how his boss (August) looked like a cougar. “You don’t usually see a cougar that’s not the wild,” said Barkley. This, as usual, prompted various reactions from his co-hosts.
Shaquille O’Neal burst out into laughter, as did Kenny. Ernie has been the de-facto moderator for the NBAonTNT crew for decades now and it was different in this scenario either as he tried to tell everyone on to calm down. In all fairness, Ernie did let out a cheeky laugh in between the hubbub.
It’s safe to say that if Charles Barkley truly does go through on his promise of retiring at the age of 60, he’ll surely be missed.
