DJ Bravo one-handed six vs Australia: Bravo thumps Ashton Agar for massive six over the roof in Gros Islet T20I
DJ Bravo one-handed six: The veteran West Indian all-rounder made full use of a batting promotion at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.
During the second T20I of the ongoing Australia’s tour of West Indies in St Lucia, veteran West Indies all-rounder didn’t let a batting promotion go waste scoring a brilliant 47* (34) with the help of a four and three sixes.
Batting as high as No. 5 after half-a-decade, Bravo put together a 103-run partnership for the fourth wicket alongside Shimron Hetmyer (61) to power as it played a primary role in propelling West Indies to 196/4 in 20 overs after Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to field.
It is worth mentioning that this is also Bravo’s highest score since making his T20I comeback last year. In eight T20I innings since the start of 2020, Bravo had scored a paltry 33 runs at an average and strike rate of 6.60 and 80.48 respectively.
A significant highlight of Bravo’s innings in Gros Islet was him thumping Australia all-rounder Ashton Agar for a six over the deep square leg region as the hosts surpassed the 100-run mark.
In what was a rank short delivery, Bravo put on display an astounding one-handed six which went over the roof at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.
Talking about the Australian bowlers, the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Agar and Josh Hazlewood picked a wicket apiece in an otherwise disappointing performance.
