Twitter goes into meltdown as Perera uses the ‘Dressing Room Review System’
Looks like another DRS controversy has blown up today in the first test match between India and Sri Lanka!
A controversial incident happened in earlier today, as Dilruwan Perera apparently asked the dressing room before using the DRS.

This is against the rules as the batsman should take the decision without consulting his team mates in the dressing room.
A similar incident happened against Australia earlier in the year as Steve Smith was seen asking the dressing room whether or not he should take the DRS option.
Virat Kohli was livid with Smith and almost accused him of cheating in the post match press conference. Wonder what he must have thought of Perera’s decision!
Here are the best Twitter reactions!
Certainly worth a debate but guess we need to look at things in the light of current rules….. https://t.co/bhKRhsyHg9

What just happened there? #DilruwanPerera walks back and suddenly decides to use DRS? There was definitely some indication from the dressing room which needs to be looked into. #INDvSL

Looked in the direction of the dressing room before opting to review. Now this isn’t in the spirit of the game. @OfficialSLC #DilruwanPerera #INDvSL

Very sad, Sri Lanka, this Dilruwan “brain fade.” Caught on camera looking at the dressing room, hands there gesturing to him to review. Ghost of Steve Smith lives on #IndvSL

In other news, BDRS or ‘Brainfade DRS’ makes another appearance. Perera walked… and then turned to signal. How does a batsman who walked allowed to come back and ask for review? ICC needs to start monitoring this. #IndvSL

It’s clear that dilruwan Perera got some msg like why don’t u review the decision, it’s not right in d spirit of the time. True it’s notout but how it happened is not good to cricket. All eyes on referee BOON now.#INDvSL

Dilruwan Perera unusual Decision Review System (DRS) suggests that ‘Brain Fade’ happens not just to White but to Brown people too. It is turning out to be a Universal Phenomenon. #INDvSL

How easily @Sdoull spotted that Perera was walking towards the direction of dressing room & then turned back to ask for the DRS. Awesome awareness from @Sdoull need him as commentator for all India matches #INDvSL
