WATCH: Roger Federer gives a sneak peek into his private locker room

After getting through to the Semi Finals of the World Tour finals, the maestro spoke to Sky Sports’ Annabel Croft from his private locker room at O2.

One of the three ATP tournaments after Shanghai and Indian Wells where the tennis players do not share their locker rooms, the room has a mirror where the name “Roger” is etched. The Swiss master is ambivalent about having an isolated space but he does miss the other guys. He develops a bonding with his team and discusses the match tactics and strategies in the room or somewhere outside.

Croft took stock of the maestro’s kit bag and Roger told her about the string pattern of his rackets and the variable tensions in the strings and how the kind of opponent determines the type of racket that Federer would chose.

He unzips his kit bag and displays his belongings.He shows his awards on the table and feels obliged to receive those and the customised wall where the beautiful memories throughout the year are posted on the wall. The maestro loves having his staple diet pasta and salads post his match.

The World Number two would love to hear Adele, Beyonce he admits Justin Bieber “would make my wife happy!” Federer looks forward to giving his best in his upcoming matches.

With Goffin having come out on top in the semi finals, Federer will now enjoy some time off until the start of next season at the Hopman Cup in Perth.

Federer would hope that he could replicate last season’s performance at the Australian Open, where he took the tennis world by surprise, romping to a win in unlikely circumstances.
