“I smoked hash thinking it was the chronic and thought I saw Janet Jackson”: Allen Iverson recalls how Biggie Smalls got him high for the first time in his life

Allen Iverson was dominant on the court, but even he couldn’t avoid the horrible trip that came when he tried hash for the first time with Biggie.

Allen “The Answer” Iverson was known for his crazy handles and crossovers especially during his time with the Philadelphia 76ers.

His iconic stepover on Tyron Lue during the 2001 NBA Finals is one of the most memorable moments of all time.

However, on one particular night Iverson had a wild trip with Biggie where he thought he may have seen Janet Jackson on his t-shirt.

Allen Iverson Was Confused About Not Seeing Janet Jackson

Chronic and Hash are very different in terms of what kind of high they can get you. Hash is much more concentrated version and is loaded with THC.

When Allen Iverson was sharing a hotel one day with Biggie, he thought was having chronic, the less potent version. However, he had accidentally gotten his hands on some hash instead and well, his trip was not ideal.

Iverson was wearing a shirt that was a parody to Janet Jackson’s famous 1993 Rolling Stone cover except instead of Janet Jackson, an alien cartoon replaced her.

After scoring some of the hash, Iverson was freaking out. Why? He couldn’t see Janet Jackson’s face on his t-shirt and so he started panicking, wondering if she had suddenly disappeared.

Iverson would recall:

“I just remember going to the bathroom… I’m looking in the mirror at the shirt, and I notice that the shirt did not have her face… it had an alien face on her body.”

“I’m looking in the mirror and I’m trippin.’ I’m wiping the shirt off [to try and reveal the human Jackson’s face] and everything. I’m thinking like that’s supposed to be her, but it’s this alien cartoon character.”

Iverson can obviously laugh about it now, but during the time he felt extremely weird about it. He knew that his first ever time getting high was fine because he was at home, but this time was completely different.
