“Shaquille O’Neal accuses me of bullying him”: Candace Parker gets candid about her funny banter with the 4x NBA champion
Former WNBA champion Candace Parker spills the beans on her bond with Shaquille O’Neal and their banter on the TNT show.
It would not be wrong to say that Candace Parker has brought about a revolution in women’s basketball. The 2x NCAA champion is regarded by many as the current face of the WNBA.
The Chicago Sky superstar has been an inspiration to millions of women athletes, especially mothers, having brought up her daughter while playing pro sports at the same time.
Parker added another feather to her cap when she became the 1st women analyst on TNT. The 2020 DPOY is one of the few women broadcasters and commentators in an otherwise male-dominated industry.
The 2x WNBA MVP has been exceptional in her role as an analyst on TNT and has been receiving great reviews for her new role. Parker is part of the NBA on TNT Tuesday panel that includes Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade.
In an interview with GQ recently, Parker spoke about her funny exchanges with Shaq on the show and how their arguments are very organic and not rehearsed.
Candace Parker talks about her banter with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal
The two panelists on NBA on TNT Tuesday are often seen having funny exchanges and making fun of each other. While talking about the same, Parker said, “I think it’s really funny because we always have those exchanges whether it’s in front of the camera or not. We’re always yelling back and forth. He laughs about me bullying him but I just tell him the truth.”

The 6x WNBA All-Star added, “I tell him what I think and vice versa. I think it’s good for television, but it’s authentic. This isn’t a debate team. It happens organically. He hit me up the other day trying to argue something and I didn’t even have time for that.”

There is no doubt that Parker does not step down from a fight, whether it is on the basketball court or arguing analytics with Shaq. The Chicago native has cemented her legacy and has been a game-changer for women’s basketball.
