“I can swim just like Michael Phelps”: Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards gives yet another hilarious interview while discussing Lake Minnetonka
Minnesota Timberwolves sophomore Anthony Edwards talks about swimming in Lake Minnetonka, compares himself to Michael Phelps
Minnesota Timberwolves had the first pick in the 2020 NBA draft. With the first pick, they selected Anthony Edwards. While many questioned the Wolves for not picking up a name like LaMelo Ball, the Wolves never doubted their rook. Edwards lived up to their expectations, as he finished his rookie campaign at the second spot in the prestigious Rookie of the Year race. He averaged 19.3 points and 4.7 rebounds, while shooting 32.9% from the deep, and playing all 72 games in the season.
Apart from his class on the court, ANT is known for his hilarious interviews. Last year, he talked about how he could play anywhere from NFL, MLB, to Hockey, swimming, or TT, if the money is right. He’s also talked about how he wants a lion for a pet, but had to settle for a dog currently.
Anthony Edwards claims he can swim as well as Michael Phelps
Anthony Edwards attended the Wolves’ Summer League game today. There, a reporter asked him about his time in Lake Minnetonka. Anthony Edwards replied and said, “I got baptized in Lake Minnetonka. Backflips, and Jet-Skis.” He then invited all the Wolves’ loyals to come and spend time with him at the lake. The reporter then asked Edwards if he could swim, and he replied in the way he knows best. He said, “I can swim as well as Michael Phelps.”
This has been the most boring offseason in #Timberwolves history and Anthony Edwards magically changed all of that in a mere 60 seconds:

It’s great to see the young player have fun and take some much-needed rest in the offseason. The Wolves would look forward to running it back next season and try to make their way to the playoffs in the much competitive Western Conference.
