NBA veteran JJ Redick congratulates Luka Doncic in a hilarious manner for his 5-year, $207 million supermax rookie extension
Luka Doncic is one of the hottest names in the game of basketball right now. Having played three seasons in the NBA, Doncic already had an impressive resume before joining the league. Doncic is a former EuroLeague Champion, MVP, EuroLeague Final Four MVP, and has many more accolades. Luka won the prestigious Rookie of the Year award in his first year in the league. Ever since he’s been All-NBA First team twice, and a 2x NBA All-Star. Doncic has also been in the midst of MVP conversations for each of the last two seasons, falling short by just a bit.
A talent like Doncic comes once in a generation. Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks know that, and hence they locked down their star with a record extension. Luka and the Mavericks agreed to a 5-year, $207 million supermax rookie extension.

JJ Redick congratulates Luka Doncic in a hilarious manner
JJ Redick was sent to the Mavericks by the Pelicans last season, played just 13 games for them. Coming off an injured heel, Redick was out for most of the time after the trade deadline. However, during that time, he seemed to have bonded with his teammates.
Hearing about Luka Doncic’s massive contract extension, Redick decided this was the right time to ask for the money Luka owes him. JJ took it to his Twitter and wrote, “Still owes me $1700 from cards.” He then asked Doncic to cash app the same to him.

Redick, who is currently without a contract for the upcoming season, has been rumored to be targetted by the Lakers and the Heat. As for Luka, coming off a heartbreaking loss in the Bronze medal game in the Olympics, we may see an extra fire in him in the upcoming season.
