“It is just distracting”– Mercedes boss Toto Wolff doesn’t want to be distracted by Red Bull’s noise anymore
“It is just distracting”– Mercedes boss Toto Wolff wants to avoid the “noise” made by Red Bull to focus on the remainder of the F1 season.
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has been responding to the all vicious attacks of Red Bull ever since the rivalry between the two sides got intensified in 2021.
But Wolff has now claimed that he will focus more on his team’s efforts instead of being distracted by the loud noise made by Red Bull for the remainder of the season.
“I got annoyed in Baku, and that is not something that’s normally happening to me. On reflection, I want to concentrate my focus on the team and on myself, rather than be distracted by noise,” said Wolff to GPFans.
Wolff was further asked whether there was advice made by Mercedes’ management to handle the hostile arguments with Red Bull; Wolff replied that, of course, he listened to his team.
“I always listen, of course, and that is important because sometimes you just need to look beyond your nose. That is just me. Baku wasn’t ‘back away’, I just got triggered. In the end, I am not interested anyway in chatter,” added Wolff.
“Whatever is said or written, it is just distracting. It has the potential to distract you, and I don’t want to be distracted. I just want to look, I just want to look inside.”
Mercedes eyeing 8th straight championship win
With the two successful campaigns in Silverstone and Hungary, Mercedes is only aiming to keep its lead against Red Bull and maintain its hegemony in the turbo-hybrid era.

Mercedes will next race against Red Bull in Belgium, where the F1 summer break will end and resume the second half of the season, as Red Bull is anticipating having its revenge of the last two races.
