WATCH Lando Norris banter with his race engineer Will Joseph during the practice session of the Belgian Grand Prix.
It is a commonly known fact that Lando Norris and his race engineer Will Joseph share brilliant chemistry. The understanding of each other on and off the field has been hugely successful for Norris and McLaren, at large. This was evident during the practice session of today’s Belgian Grand Prix.
Joseph had planned to released Norris from the pit lane first or second to avoid traffic, but that was not to happen. As seen in the video below, quite a few cars queued up before him, including a Haas. But instead of showing any sort of irritation, Norris had this fun interaction with Joseph.
Will Joseph: The track will go green in about 25 seconds’ time.
Not quite the position I had in mind, apologies for that.
Lando Norris: [grinning] yeah, I was gonna say…
Will Joseph: You were going to say something
Lando Norris: …like first or second in the queue
