Sachin Tendulkar sends a wonderful message to Virat Kohli after he scores his 34th ODI century
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has started limited-overs cricket in 2018 with a bang. The Indian superstar smashed his first ODI ton in South Africa during the 2nd ODI, and has carried his form with another brilliant performance in the 3rd ODI.
The 29-year-old played a calculated innings of 160 not out from 159 balls and single-handedly carried India to a decent total of 303 in the 3rd ODI at Cape Town. The South African bowlers contained the batters from the other hand, but could not control the Indian skipper.
However, 303 also proved to be too much for the hosts, as wrist-spinners Chahal and Kuldeep helped bundle out the Proteas for only 179.
Cape Town witnessed Virat Kohli’s 34th ODI century, as the masterclass drew applause from all around the cricketing world for his brilliant performances in all types of conditions.
The little Master Sachin Tendulkar himself was full of praise for the Indian captain, as the veteran praised Virat Kohli’s incredible performance. The former Indian captain congratulated Kohli on his 34th ODI ton, while also praising his brilliant consistency in making hundreds.

Tendulkar’s former team-mate and Indian legend, VVS Laxman, praised Kohli’s brilliant knock under pressure, and claimed this was one of the best centuries of the 29-year-old.
Australian opener, David Warner, also appreciated Kohli’s performance, and admitted that the Indian captain is on a different level than rest of the batters in the world.
Along with that, former English batter, Michael Vaughan also applauded the consistency of runs by Kohli and even claimed Kohli to be the greatest ODI player of all-time.
