PBKS vs CSK Wankhede Stadium pitch report: Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium will host the IPL 2022 game between Chennai and Punjab.
Chennai Super Kings will take on Punjab Kings in the 38th league game of the Indian Premier League. Both sides have not been able to play at their potential till now, and it is now the time to bring their A-game on. The game will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Punjab Kings have managed to win three of their seven games, whereas Chennai Super Kings have won two of their seven. Apart from Liam Livingstone, the batting of Punjab Kings has not clicked yet. Kagiso Rabada and Rahul Chahar are the best bowlers of the side.
For Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni again proved his class in the last game by showing his vintage mode. The bowlers of the side have some good business this season, but the batting has to be more consistent.
PBKS vs CSK Wankhede Stadium pitch report
Wankhede Stadium’s pitch has always been a paradise for the batters, and it was proved in the Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals game. However, this season has not been that great in terms of scoring at this venue comparatively.
A total of seven games have been played in IPL 2022 so far at the Wankhede Stadium, where the average 1st innings score has been 167 runs. Out of seven games, four games have been won by the chasing teams. The boundaries of this ground are not that large, and the batters won’t have any issues in clearing the fence.

The pacers can easily swing the ball in the initial overs with the new ball. In the middle overs, the spinners can take advantage of the drier side of the wicket. Chennai Super Kings have the tendency to play three spinners in their eleven.
Rajasthan Royals’ score of 222 runs is the highest score at this ground this season, and it was defended at the end. The dew factor will again play a crucial part and both teams would want to bowl first.
