Ricky Ponting net worth: Ponting wines and other businesses and endorsements details
Decorated former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting was part of the news headlines on Friday for a rather unfortunate reason when he was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a minor heart-related issue.
The incident took place while he was providing his services at the commentary box for Channel 7, in the ongoing first Test match between Australia and West Indies at the Perth Stadium.
While he did not return back to the match venue, his condition is reportedly stable, much to the relief of the entire cricketing fraternity.
Despite having retired from international Cricket around a decade ago, the 47-year-old still actively contributes to the sport, be it in the capacity of a commentator/analyst or in the coaching department.
He continues as the head coach of the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals (DC), having taken up the responsibility in the year 2018.

A couple of years ago, Ponting had also started his new wine business which goes by the name ‘Ponting Wines’, in collaboration with a famous Australian wine maker Ben Riggs, the founder of the Mr. Riggs Wine Company.
Each wine under the ‘Ponting Wines’ label has been named after a significant event in Ponting’s international Cricket career.
Within the first year of production itself, the ‘Ponting 127 Barossa Shiraz’ had won Gold at The 2021 Melbourne International Wine Competition. This particular wine is named after Ponting’s memorable innings of 127 against England in his first Ashes Test in 1997.
The business has now set its eyes on the international market, particularly in India, which is emerging to be a fast-growing market for Australian wines.
