“We Just Want to Win a Road Game!”: Stephen Curry Explains the Warriors’ Desperation Amidst His Shoulder Injury Worries
The Golden State Warriors won the NBA Championship in June. However, six months later, the team looks nowhere close to the squad that lifted the Larry O’Brien trophy. Stephen Curry has been sensational this year, putting up numbers even better than his unanimous MVP season.
However, the Warriors have been faltering on the road. Boasting a 12-2 home record, the Warriors are a measly 2-13 on the road. They are yet to win a road game in the East this year and sit in the 10th spot in the West with a 14-15 record.
Things only got worse for them as Steph suffered a shoulder injury against the Pacers.

Stephen Curry talks about the team’s expectations without him
While talking to the press, Steph was asked about a lot of things. He was asked if the team’s goal is to maintain a .500 record till he returns. Curry replied and said,
“That’s always a good soundbite because it gives you something to key on. But where we’re at, we just want to win a road game.”
Is it the goal for the Warriors to maintain a .500 record for when Steph Curry returns?

Curry was also asked about his shoulder and talked about how it felt.

Clearly, the pain is terrible right now, but Steph feels that it will get better as time goes on. Not requiring surgery is a major sigh of relief for both Steph and his fans.
How do the Warriors maintain a .500 record without Steph?
In all fairness, this task is an uphill task for the team. With Steph playing, the Warriors had a 14-15 record. Without him, the whole operation goes haywire. Tonight, they lack Draymond Green and possibly Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson.
If they want to win, they would have to take it game-by-game. Jordan Poole, Klay, Wiggins, and Draymond would all have to step up and take a more significant role. The shoes Steph left behind are gigantic and wouldn’t be easy to fill, but the Dubs need to try.
